Centerville Lions Club Honors Local Community Members For Their Service

Monday night, the Centerville Lions Club presented awards to honored guests who are highly regarded in Wayne County.

Among those honored, Sara Coulter, Director of Marketing at First Bank Richmond, received the Outstanding Citizen of the Year award.  Among her many accomplishments, most notibly she was praised for her years of work as President of Dollars for Scholars, enabling kids to pursue a higher education.

Also honored was Janis Buhl, of Western Wayne News, for her service to the Western portion of Wayne County by creating a worthy news source.  In her many years as editor of WWN, she has been able to promote and convey what is happening in the surrounding communites and has succeeded in keeping information flowing.

Anna Richey accepted the award given in memory of her late husband, Lloyd Richey, for his important work in the community.  It was noted that he gave much of his effort and time to helping youth, making an impact on the lives of many.

And finally,  Wendy Komman was given the “Lion” award.  This honor is bestowed upon a Lions Club member who has made a major impact on the club as well as being a positive community member.

Congratulations to all those honored.

The Lions Club of Centerville has been bestowing awards since 1986.
